You may not think there would be any danger of fire with snow on the ground and all the lush foliage on the trees. As you open your cabin for the spring, and fire up your wood stove or fireplace, please be extra careful (see this article about cabin fires from last spring). Also, be mindful of electrical circuits and wiring, winter gnawers sometimes chew on insulation. Be careful to not overload the circuits with electric space heaters… and test those smoke alarms, it’s probably time to change the batteries.
